Kausar Malik is Senior Principle Research Scientist at Amway Corporation, Ada, Michigan. Kausar has more than 30 years’ experience in cosmetics microbiology supports the product development in preservation of cosmetic, personal care and oral care formulations. She leads the development of microbiology standards, methods, and validation of traditional and rapid microbiology methods. She also assures the alignment of Amway microbiology standards across the Amway business globally. She is actively exploring future innovative technologies such as skin microbiome and application of probiotics in skin health. Kausar is a key R&D microbiological technical resource for the entire business unit.

Kausar received her MS, and M. Phil degrees in Mycology and Microbiology from University of the Punjab and Quaid-e-Azam University Islamabad, Pakistan respectively. In 2004, she has earned her MBA from the University of Phoenix. She is an active member of Personal Care Products Council Microbiology Committee (PCPC or formerly known as CTFA) since 1993 and chaired the committee from 2008-2009. Kausar is also an active member of Technical Advisory Group member of ISO TC 217- (International Standard Organization Technical Committee for Cosmetics Microbiology) representing the US Cosmetic industry since 2000 and participates in development of the ISO standards for cosmetic microbiology.
