Innovation has always been a driver in the personal care industry. Unlike, in pharma, where innovation is severely hindered by regulations, cosmetics and personal care has been a dynamic market place when it comes to new ingredients development. Whether it is an ingredient, most likely an active ingredient, that a formulation is built around, or ingredients solving a specific formulation challenge (think of preservative boosters), ingredients’ suppliers have been proactively looking at offering solutions to formulators.
